‘What does the Lord require of us: to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God’ Micah 6:8
Both St Mary’s and St Bridget’s are Fairtrade churches. We think this is a really important commitment for us to make as part of the call to challenge injustice in the world. To be a Fairtrade Church, means that we have committed to:
- Use Fairtrade tea and coffee after services and in all meetings for which we have responsibility.
- Move forward on using other Fairtrade products such as sugar, biscuits and fruit.
- Promote Fairtrade during Fairtrade Fortnight and during the year through events, worship and other activities whenever possible.
We have a Fairtrade stand available once a month after Church on a Sunday.
