A prayer during the vacancy:
God our Father, you love us and have called us to be your body in this place.
At this time of change we pray that your Holy Spirit will fill us with vision, energy and faithfulness in prayer that we do as you desire and bring new life to our community.
With your heavenly wisdom, guide those who will be choosing a new priest for our parishes.
May that person be a wise and gentle shepherd, who is ready to serve us with joy, to build us up in faith, and to lead by example, in loving obedience to your Son our Saviour, Jesus Christ. AMEN.
