The information below is designed to help with some of the practical questions that you might have if you are considering becoming a regular giver. We won’t tell you what you should or should not give – that’s for you to decide. At most of our services, we do take a collection for the work of the church, but if you would like to consider giving regularly, there are 3 main ways that you can do so:
Regular giving by standing order.
You can choose to give either weekly or monthly by setting up a standing order with your bank. If this is something that you would like to do, please let us know so that if you are willing to gift aid your donation we can give you the correct form to enable us to reclaim the gift aid. We can provide you with the correct bank details in order to set up a standing order. This is the most helpful way of giving to the church because you are in control of how much you choose to give, and it helps us to plan effectively and wisely because we know roughly what our income is likely to be.
Regular giving by envelope.
We know that not everyone has such regular income, and so would prefer to give what they can, when they can. In this case, we also provide discrete giving envelopes which also enable us to reclaim gift aid if you register. The main difference is that you can give when you want to, rather than with the same regularity as a standing order. Again, please contact us if you are interested in finding out more.
One off gifts.
We also welcome unexpected one off gifts because these are never planned for, and often enable us to do things that we hadn’t thought possible.
