Become a Regular Giver

The information below is designed to help with some of the practical questions that you might have if you are considering becoming a regular giver. We won’t tell you what you should or should not give – that’s for you to decide. At most of our services, we do take a collection for the work of the church, but if you would like to consider giving regularly, there are a few different ways that you can do so:

You can also donate electronically by using the link below.

Parish Giving Scheme.
The best way for St Mary’s is to use the Parish Giving Scheme. We have signed up to this because it is easier for both you and for the church in terms of administration. It means that you are able to opt into gift aid if you can, and also it gives you the opportunity to review your giving each year depending on your costs of living. It also allows you to give anonymously if you prefer. All you need is our Parish Giving Scheme number which is 010301044.

There are 3 ways that you can give via the Parish Giving Scheme:
1) By telephone on 0333 002 1271
2) Online at www.parishgiving.org.uk
3) By post

Regular giving by standing order.
You can also choose to give either weekly or monthly by setting up a standing order with your bank for either church. If this is something that you would like to do, please let us know so that if you are willing to gift aid your donation we can give you the correct form to enable us to reclaim the gift aid. We can provide you with the correct bank details in order to set up a standing order.

Weekly collections in church.
Lastly, we take a collection at our services in both churches, so for those who prefer this is an option.  We also have a card reader for use in St Mary’s and at special events for those who prefer not to carry cash.
